A.L.A.N.
This is our entry for the GMTK Game Jam 2023.
There has been a lot of talk about AI, LLMs, ChatGPT, etc. Whether they are ethically sourced. Whether they are threatening jobs. Whether they are reliable.
Well, today we are introducing a NEW language model, named A.L.A.N., which is built 100% on AI.
Actual Intelligence.
Yes, in a reversal of roles, it us up to you to do the hard work, to write the texts which have the answers A.L.A.N.'s users so desperatly want.

There is so much potential here I want to play this more and more. Please consider making a bigger game for this!

That's great. Well, from what I have seen so far, A.L.A.N. certainly has "potensh"!
I really enjoyed the game when trying to respond as quickly as possible. However, Fitness score can be increased easily though from copying and pasting long excerpts of text. I appreciate this has a lot of potential, especially for a game made so quickly!

I agree that it is much more fun if you try to reply in a timely manner. Adding a timer on conversations was always a goal but we, well, ran out of time. I felt it would be more important to get some semi-decent conversations into the game, so sadly I had to cut that part.
